J Kelly Plant Hire Ltd have been serving the building and construction industry in and around Newcastle-upon-Tyne since 1980. We are a member of the Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA) and the Contracts Mechanical Plant Engineers (CMPE).

All our equipment is hired out with CSCS accredited operators and is available to both trade customers and members of the public.

After many years in Plant Hire and construction both as a Plant Operator and in Senior Plant Management, John Kelly formed Kelly Plant Hire Ltd when Roche Plant Hire decided to close the Newcastle Depot, which was situated to the South of Scotswood Bridge.

Today, some 30 years later, Kelly Plant Hire now occupies a large site to the north of the bridge which the family have developed to house the Plant Hire operations and also sublet the remaining three units to other companies related to the industry which blend in with our operation.

Our total commitment to our customers has helped it grow from a one man business into one of the North East's largest privately (family owned) Plant Hire companies. By making constant investments in the latest equipment together with our desire to explore new concepts we have become renowned throughout the North East for our customer support, service and innovation.

We offer Plant Hire with operators ranging from Micro Mini Excavators, full range of Wheeled 180 degree 2CX and 3CX JCB's, to compact 360 degree Wheeled Excavators. We also supply Breakers, Kerb Grab and Trailers and Digger Crusher and Screening Attachments.

Our latest project is the introduction of Bobcat Skid Steer Loaders with Planing attachments and we will increase the attachments range in due course.
